This is hilarious and sexy and weird and the art is rad. Fun series. Will certainly continue reading.

This is such an interesting and weird premise. A woman can stop time when she has an orgasm. She meets a guy who can also stop time via orgasm, and they decide to rob banks. I love the weirdos who thought of that.
The comic itself is also really interesting. There are all kinds of asides from the main character Suzie as if she's looking back on these events from the future, which is a useful narrative framing device. Suzie calls the stopped time ...more

I was starting to despair, thinking maybe I just wasn't a "comics person." It turns out I just hadn't found the right comic yet. This. This is the right comic for me. Humor and romance and weirdness and crime. I have found my comic soulmate!

I expected this to be different and a little weird, but I didn't expect it to be as weird as it was! The Sex Police surprised me. The idea of orgasm affecting the time/space rules in some way has been done before (one example is the movie Liquid Sky - now THAT was a weird movie!), but this comic handled it in a fresh and new way. With a title like Sex Criminals, you have to be pretty ready for this to be chock full of adult content, but the story is totally worth it and I was definitely loving the art style. I'm interested to see where things are going next!

This is one of the best graphic novels I've read since I started teaching the medium a few years ago. It's not just a bunch of sex jokes...but don't worry, there are plenty...It's actually an incredibly sweet story of two people finally meeting the person they truly connect with. Suzie and Jon are a fun couple to read. plus their orgasms freeze time and they rob banks.

Okay, this is one that definitely would have made me blush a few years ago (And maybe even a little bit now - hello, conservative evangelical upbringing!), but even though sex is obviously a major part of this comic and is shown pretty explicitly, it's really not pornographic. I love Suzie and Jon and I love this weird and wonderful series.
