A rare classic that lives up to the hype. A real masterpiece that has me interested in doing a more in-depth study of Capote. Fans of the movie won't be disappointed, but the book is so much more.

I am embarrassed to admit that this is the first Truman Capote I've read, though I definitely intend to read more now.
The book I read is, I think, the most standard presentation of "Breakfast at Tiffany's": The novella followed by three other, much shorter stories. My rating is for the entire book, though I think "Breakfast at Tiffany's" as a standalone story deserves five stars.

I liked the book, but I will take the movie over the book any day. I guess I am just a sucker for a happy ending. I found this to be a very easy read, and I like the way that Capote writes. I have never read anything by him prior to this.
