I started reading this book because I was curious to see if it was like McCarthy's others that I've read (All the Pretty Horses, which did not translate well to film, and The Crossing, which seems impossible to translate... so dense and language driven). It wasn't, and it made sense that this, of all of his books, could be made into a movie. This was an intense one.
Good, but not as good as the movie. Curiously, though, some of the movie's best scenes and lines were lifted straight from the book.
