I started to give this book three stars and then thought, "Well, it's a non-fiction book that I actually read. That probably merits four stars in and of itself." While I read quite a bit, I don't read non-fiction. If a book isn't going to transport me somewhere else, I'm generally not excited about reading it. Life is real enough for me without reading about it, too.

OK, so my mom read the original version of this book when my sisters and I were kids. So I've kind of grown up with the whole "Oh that's because you're a first born/middle child/last born" mentality. I picked this up for 50 cents when our library was discarding it. Anyway, I think it's worth a quick read. It even talks about what kinds of birth order matches make for good marriages and also tips for how to parent kids based on their birth order. It's interesting for discussion anyway. Scott thin
