This book that provides many facts and details about how natives have been mistreated in North America (both Canada and the U.S.). It blows a number of myths and stereotypes out of the water. Well worth reading.

Fascinating history, told well

This book was not only a fascinating history of Indian and North American White interactions, but it was told with a refreshing and insightful voice. The author tells this story in such a way that you feel you are sitting around a table just chit chatting with him. He is not overly critical of either side, but presents the facts and the point of view of the various North American tribes well and inclusively. One North America accepts that it was built by stolen hands, maybe they’ll get around to accepting that it was built on stolen land.

I fear it’s going to take a while...
