...what the word squalor means.
I have always loved this book -- the interwoven stories, and the continued Glass saga... I must admit, when I first read Teddy i was not sure of the ending (I didn't understand Franny and Zooey, either... then again, I was only 13), but in all my subsequent readings, I have found nuances in all of the stories. I love how he writes about children, and Esme and her little brother Charles are the best.
