It was fun picturing the different places in Baltimore that came up in this book, which focuses on three generations of one family. The story was interesting, though it's a novel in which the focus is more in characters than plot. Overall I enjoyed this quite a bit.

I adored the Whitshanks. Love the origin of Stem's nickname---something I find myself thinking about with my own son. So sweet, yet subtle and even humorous but deep family love and relationships. I loved it.
