This book was fun and Gaffigan is a funny guy. But, dude, it is way too long. I didn't realize that a love story about food would include every single kind of food and food serving operation in the history of the world forever and ever. And it made me shameful of my eating habits while simultaneously inducing severe hunger. I'm going to have to stop at one of the many, many available food places on my way home.

Exactly what I expect from Jim Gaffigan, who's my favorite stand-up. He grew up one town away from me, so all of his northwestern IN references are personal for me. My brother-in-law even went to elementary school with him, so we're practically related.

This was really funny, and not what I expected...And maybe I should have. It is literally an entire book of Jim Gaffigan talking about how he loves food and what kinds, with a few stories thrown in too. It's delightful. This book is basically a donut. You might not get anything nutritional...But it is still wonderful.

This book was so funny in places that it had me laughing out loud as I was driving though really bad traffic. That's a pretty big feat.

I mean...what do you expect going in to a book like this? Does what it says on the tin!
The perfect book to read aloud on a road trip. Just don't forget the snacks or you'll be sad. Last summer we read the entire Harry Potter series out loud as a family. This summer all the kids want me to read in the car on trips is this book. We've read it twice in one month.

Pretty funny, but not enough that I remembered anything I wanted to share. Probably better as an audiobook.
