this book is great. as you may know (from my rare postings on here), I'm not really a reader unless it grabs me in some way. the manner in which eugeidies writes about the family history of Greecian traditions and paths, you end up seeing Cal's (the main character's) identity form from his history both of tradition and dna.

Best book I've read all year. I can't explain it in any way that will make it sound like something you want to read, but the characters are so amazing - the development of the main character, especially. I picked up this book because of all the people I saw reading it on the Subway who looked like they were really enjoying it. And I'm so glad I did. Definitely recommended.

An interesting book. It took me awhile to finish it and I really had to make myself finish it. I'm sure if I put more thought into the book I would 'get it' more but on the surface it was an interesting story.
