This was the first graphic novel I ever read, and I'm glad because it is fantastic and made me really appreciate the art form even if it is not my first choice of reading format (? "genre" seems wrong).

This book has been on my to-read list since the movie came out (though I still haven’t watched the movie). Overall I enjoyed it, with a caveat or two.
The art style is very traditional, which I appreciated. It did take some mental work for me to solidify myself in the correct time period, especially when so much is referenced back in the 60s. was a good story but could have been shorter and still fit everything in.
Words fail me but they sure as hell didn't fail Alan Moore.
