My coworkers have all been reading and raving about Watchmen lately. This graphic novel tells the story of several generations of masked heroes. I have read several graphic novels in the past but never a “super hero” one. I am not much of a comic book fan either, so Watchmen was new territory for me in many ways.

oh wow. Where do I start?
I've never read a comic book (sorry, graphic novel!) unless you count the Archie Comics I read as a kid.
I was skeptical to say the least.

2021 Reread: We have been watching the tv show, so I picked up the comic again. My 2009 review (below) stands up, though today I would probably use the word "ooky" or "icky" - what does "urky" mean?
Reread, inspired by watching the movie trailer. Since I wasn't so caught up in the mystery/plot on this read, I focused more on the details, and the pacing. The play with time is so cleverly done throughout, every detail pitch perfect.
