Easily the most page-turning book I’ve read in a long time. The first 100 pages or so are a little slow, but once it picks up, it keeps you hooked all the way to the end. I thought the two lead characters were intelligent and engaging, and I appreciated that Larson made such a strong female protagonist in Lisbeth. I listened to this as an audiobook and I highly recommend it. It starts out pretty slow (lets just say he takes a long time setting the stage and introducing his characters) but the speed is pretty steady from there on out! The characters are very interesting, not without their faults, but that's what makes them good characters! Pretty interesting book/mystery, but I got kind of bored with it in the last quarter of it or so when the mystery was solved and it just kept going. Also, Salander was a little too much of the elusive and mysterious pixie-character viewed through the male gaze type for my taste. I don't usually make broad statements like that about female characters, but I got a little irritated by her at times (or rather by Larsson's characterization of her)

Read during my vacation to Boston. Once I got past the first fifty pages, it was a page turner. There is some hinky stuff that creeped me out - that I didn't expect - but overall I really enjoyed it. Well written.
