I'm finding that although I feel like I should love anything by Austen, I really think they are just okay. They are beautifully written, but relatively predictable. I think had I read this for the first time in my late teens or early twenties, I would have loved it. At almost 40, I found it to be almost annoying at times. She leaves us with a very happy ending; however, and that was much appreciated during this time of Covid Isolation.
