We have a rule in our car: Driver chooses what’s on the radio. So there we were, on a family road trip, and my husband was driving. When he’s the Master of the Dial, he almost always chooses the news. On this particular day the news was especially bad (and sad and enraging and heartbreaking). I just couldn’t listen anymore.
