I really enjoyed this one! I live in the Southwest, where rain is a much desired occurrence. But I used to line in an area where rain was dangerous, often resulting in flash floods that could sweep away cars and cattle. The writer does a great job talking about such a simple subject and making it interesting.

I thought I was gonna like this one a whole lot better. It started out great. (Did you know raindrops actually fall opposite of how we imagine due to air pressure?) Lots of humor and interesting facts.
Then we got bogged down in the history of American rain. This book reminded me of the Storm Kings book written a few years back.

I got about halfway through this and petered out. Interesting topic but I just couldn’t engage with it the writing.
