Wow. I loved this book. It makes me feel like I'm reading a soap opera-especially how the POV switches from chapter to chapter. I didn't like the turn that Jon's story took in the end, but I'm hoping not to be let down by it as the series continues. Arya and Tyrion are probably my favorite storylines right now, although I'm sure that will change soon. The Hound was also a character that I was silently championing, I hope he actually isn't gone for good.

The saga continues and gets even darker and more complex. Martin's second novel in the series picks up right where the last one left off and doesn't do too much backstory-ing for anyone foolish enough to read these out of order. Book 2 of Game of Thrones. I think I liked the first book, A Game of Thrones slightly better, but it was still good. Rivaling powers fight for control of Westeros.
