What Members Thought
Wow. I very much enjoyed the writing - vivid, immersive, compelling. But, this could be read as a science fiction work. The reader needs to suspend themselves into Murakami's world. I also appreciated how many western musical references were included. . . although, I wonder why he chose so many western classical composers? Rossini, Haydn, Mozart? What does their music connote in Japanese culture?
