What Members Thought
I had always resisted reading Murakami -- it always seemed like he was the number one favorite writer on myspace and friendster with all the hipsters.(along with Nabokov, which was spelled wrong more often than not, and a little surprising, more often than not.) But my friend Olivia LOVES him, so I took that as a good sign. August 2018: I started this in the spring and then put it down about 1/3 of the way through. It sucked me in to the weird world as I was reading and I'd be totally engaged, and then I would keep putting it down and not picking it back up, so there is just something not working for me with it right now. Hoping to try this or another of Murakami's books at another time.
