My first read book of 2021 - whoo-hoo! :o)
I enjoyed this graphic novel, an account of the author's childhood experiences with deafness.
At times it felt slightly repetitive - seemed like some of the school grades could've been condensed - but that's a small negative.

I really liked the author's afterward. This book is so great and I am excited to talk about it more with the kids.

Really nice graphic novel about a girl growing up with greatly reduced hearing and a very noticeable hearing aid. In an afterward the author says she wanted to make the reader understand her emotions at the time, and the book 100% succeeds at that.

Cute story about coming of age and making friends when you're faced with how other people view your differences.
