This is a short, well-narrated rendition of about 20 of the Grimm Brother's fairy tales. I appreciated the variety of noteworthy narrators reading the various stories, and enjoyed a little refresher of the tales themselves. I can see how many of these fables never made it into Disney movies, though--it's easy to forget how dark (and sexist) some of the original stories are. 63 fairy tales are a bit too much in one book, but I enjoyed them nonetheless. Some stories are too gory and gloomy for kids, though. And some have too weird meanings that I can't find what the morals of the stories are :) I also just found out from this book that Grimm's brothers didn't actually write the stories, they only collected and rewrote them. Great job, though!
