I love Margaret Atwood. But I was so very disappointed with this book. Great idea, and some nice moments, but the execution just left me cold. Didn't care about the characters, the plot didn't seem to go anywhere, and just when something happened that I did care about, the book ended. Meh.

I never know what to say after I finish a Margaret Atwood's book, and this is only my second book by her! But I can say I want to read everything she's ever written.
The pace is slow but so perfect to understand how Snowman lives and how Jimmy used to live, how it all ended up that way. The second half seems to speed this a bit up just as Snowman's memories while having to face what has happened. I have to say I did get scared on one part, that world really got to me. On my personal spreadsheet, I gave this one 3.5 stars. I can't here, though. C'est la vie. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel, and it's probably my favorite Atwood thus far. I rushed through it, but not because I couldn't put it down; because I had another book I was excited to read. I probably would have liked it more had I taken my time with it. Like Memoirs of a Geisha, this is a book to be savored, reading small bits at a time, rather than swallowed whole. Regardless, I was certainly p
