Saw the movie several years ago, finally got around to reading the book. So much more to take in in the book, I am kind of glad I enjoyed them in this order because I think I would have hated the movie if I had read the book first. This way, I appreciate them both for their own merits and didn't think too much about it. Very sad, but satisfying read. Obviously a new-novelist effort, but so bold and interesting in it's attempt, I imagine he has other even better books in him for the future.

Oh my. I'm torn. It took me a while to warm up with the story and the witty style of Jonathan Safran Foer (who, witty enough to use his name as the main character's name). Foer wrote the story with three different language style, all are related one and another. He played with language just like a kid playing happily with his toy. He's very "at home" here and although I can't say that this book is my favorite, I can admit that I admire Foer nonetheless for his wittiness :)

Really interesting and original Holocaust story -- just wasn't the type of book I found myself unable to put down or anxious to get back to. Definitely worth reading though.
