Listened to it on audiobook and was glad that I didn't waste good reading time on it. While it was entertaining in parts and did contain some interesting ideas, I have very little interest at this point in my life in reading about the spiritual journeys of others. Eat, Pray, Love is Elizabeth Gilbert's story of a year spent searching for earthly pleasure, divine grace and the means to live balanced between them every day. It's a heart-wrenching story, especially if you've ever found yourself weeping in the bathroom in the middle of the night yourself.

I have to admit, I'm such a stereotype.....As an American hausfrau, I'll read pretty much anything Oprah tells me to. I really like this book...really good insights, and her narrative makes you feel like you're listening to a good friend tell you her experiences.

What an excellent, heart felt book!!! I don't care if your life is all roses or down in the dumps, I guarantee you'll find tons to take away and apply to your own life.
