I loved the Italy section, but maybe it's because I'm obsessed with food. However, I felt (despite the fact that I too enjoy practicing yoga and traveling) torn with the last 2 sections. At times, Gilbert gave great insight and made me think about things in my own life. On the other hand, she came off a bit whiny and self-absorbed at times.

Overall, I enjoyed it. But it also felt a little bit like a rollercoaster ride. The first section, on the author's travels in Italy, was absolutely hilarious. I laughed out loud on nearly every page. But then it got a little...well, let's just say the the first portion of the book is not representative of the second two sections (on India and Indonesia). The god talk just doesn't interest me.

I thought there was too much hype, and I was right. That being said, I truly enjoyed this book. I see why there is so much hype.

I really enjoyed this book. The author's sense of humor is strongest during her time in Italy, but I really connected with some of her experiences and appreciated the ending.

I really enjoyed this. I've seen/heard some feedback that it fell victim to being a chronicle of a very privileged white woman's travels...which it is..but it's still amazing. I particularly enjoyed the authors insights into meditation
