I really connected with Gilbert's struggle to be happy - not just ok, but really happy - all by herself, without needing the companionship that so many people assume we all should have. Amazing book!

I thought there was too much hype, and I was right. That being said, I truly enjoyed this book. I see why there is so much hype.

It's been awhile since I've read a book that's made me spontaneously tear up, and everyone knows I'm a total emo sap. This. Yes. Sitting in the middle of Mr. Crepe, crepe neglected on the table because I was too engrossed in Liz's travels.
