I was deeply disappointed by this book.

I thought Dave Eggers was the darling of the literary world (he's been nominated for both the Pulitzer and the National Booker award, after all), so I expected The Circle to be a well-written but dull story of how a universally-adopted modern convenience is actually evil. Smart and discerning people love to hate Dave Eggers. I thought the Circle had a pretty slow start, but I couldn't stop reading it even though it was totally predictable. Thanks to Eggers for writing the first book that held my attention long enough for me to complete since I became a working mom 4 months ago! ...more

A thoroughly creepy story of the insidious grip of technology on our lives.
