Inspiring read!

True, there are some parts where Sheryl wrote things that are inapplicable for women in different situation (for example, women living in developing countries). But I applaud her honesty when she made disclaimer in those parts about her privilege and fortunate background. I appreciate her willingness to admit the issues and not just ignore it, like what happened in most self-help books or memoirs.

There’s some interesting stuff here. Sandberg’s main purpose is to point out ways we women inadvertently hold ourselves back, and I’ve noticed myself doing some of the things she mentions myself. She suggests that you embrace the challenges that excite you, and only worry about your future when it comes. She also spends a good chunk of the book emphasizing that we women need to stop judging other women for their life choices...things like the “mommy wars” are projections of guilt that are hurtin ...more
