I listened to the Audie-winning audiobook (but downloaded it from the library via Overdrive). It's a fictionalized account of Margaret Mead's time in Papau New Guinea (note: I know next to nothing about Mead or anthropology generally, and this is one of those books you're tempted to take as fact even when you know it's fiction and think that now you know something about Margaret Mead that you do not really know).

Devoured quickly, and kind of devastating in the end. Wonderful descriptions of fieldwork and anthropological methodology.
Totally engrossing. More than 5 stars.
Anyone have recommendations for novels similar to this one? Adventures/drama set in tropics?
State of Wonder was similar and better. Meh...
