This keeps showing up in Best of lists for 2014, so ... I read it. And, can I just say? ***I REALLY REALLY LOVED THIS BOOK!!*** I haven't been this pleasantly surprised, this in love, with a book since ... well since I read Station Eleven a few months ago. Lots of fun. And some seriousness that I didn't expect. But a good time overall. Now I need to know who was cast for the TV show and see if I agree.

Satire, suspense, snark and serious issues all delivered with a beautiful Australian accent. The flawed, believable characters are exactly like people you know, yet they are totally unique and fresh. Madeline, Celeste and Jane had me laughing one minute and crying the next. I could not put this novel down, and can't wait to read more from Moriarty.
