I didn't hate this, and parts of it were pretty great, but right now my overwhelming impression is: meh. It was okay. Perhaps I'll be able to sort out an actual review in a day or so, after I let it sit.

So first off, if you haven't read the plot synopsis in the Goodreads blurb, read that and then come back here.
Next, I have to acknowledge that this book is very long - pushing 800 pages in my ebook. In part this is because of the concept that drives the entire thing - there are 12 "core" characters, each of whom embodies the characteristics of a particular astrological sign. This aspect might have been more interesting to me if I could rattle those characteristics off for each sign, but I can't ...more
