From 2023: re-read along with a group on Instagram ... on paper ... and with a few folks who shared their astrology knowledge. I cannot believe how much the astrology adds to the story. as in I missed SO MUCH the first time around! This time, yes, the story is still marvelous. and now that I can appreciate the structure, the characters, and how they fit into the story ... well... I'm amazed!

I was 25% of the way through, and it was OK, but just not enough to finish all 800+ pages!!! ...more

My review can't be entirely trusted as I quit at approximately 300 pages. Keeping up with the narrative was becoming increasingly tiresome. As a result, I felt little suspense and mystery.
