Not my favorite of the series, but still really enjoyed it of course
I mean, how can you not love this series? So disturbing in so many ways. Those tv-head robots still freak me out. And that toddler! Cuteness overload! One of the (many) reasons I love this series so much is the creativity. There are creatures I cannot even imagine imagining! So diverse and interesting and crazy. I cannot wait to see what happens next!

I'm giving this volume 4 stars, not because I enjoyed it, which I didn't, but because it's well done. Things like looming infidelity, drug use, and betrayal are depicted so skillfully. The Robot royalty keeps being developed more. We see new worlds. Experience new things. I just didn't enjoy it this time. To see the marriage struggling, and Alana especially sliding into a mess, and so many people so casually dispatched--it just was depressing and disturbing and definitely not something I should

I bumped this down to three stars this time (October 2023, 3rd recorded read) because it's about an arguing couple and drug use and stuff, just depressing shit. I'm probably accidentally grading on a Saga curve though, this is a 3 for Saga but it would probably be a 4 if it were anything else . . .

Interesting parenting manual. Nice dig at the problems of health care, the interest of the rich in the plight of the poor, and the different problems of SAHD.
So good! Need more! More More More!
Ugh, I hate having to wait for the next volume to come out ...
