What Members Thought
The best I really have to say is 'yes, I liked it.' The quality of the writing was superb, the magic system was credible, the world building was well crafted. For me, this book falls down with the plot. Although it was enjoyable, the pace crawls through the first half of the novel and for a lengthy piece, this makes it a bit of a struggle. The action really only seems to pick up towards the very end. For me, this book would have been better suited as a prequel than the first of a trilogy. All in
