Cuando empecé a leer el libro creí que iba a darle 5 estrellas. Tiene muchos elementos que me gustan en el género de fantasía. Mientras más avanzaba más creí que iba a darle 5 estrellas. Una historia que me gustó, la forma de abordarla, la mitología e historia olvidadas por el paso del tiempo, los personajes secundarios, que el héroe no es infalible, etc.

I thought this was very well written and I thought the story was compelling. I'm more interested in Kvothe's past than I am in what he's doing in the inn presently. It didn't bring out the "omg I can't put this down" feeling that I always love, but thankfully I found it an uncomplicated fantasy novel and although it has a George R.R. Martin vibe, they really aren't that similar. I may go on to the second book eventually... but I do not feel pushed to know what happens.
