THIS. BOOK. IS. SO. GOOD.

The story of a character I've described as Tyrion meets Sherlock meets Aladdin to the 5 people I've already recommended it to, this book hits all the sweet spots. Magic school? Check. Protagonist you can't help but want to be? Check? Laugh out loud but also try desperately not to cry while reading in public? Check!

Recommend to everyone, this book is just so, so, so good.

Wow. I can't remember the last time I was so consumed by a story (sneaking chapters every minute I could, carrying the book everywhere, losing sleep to get in just one more chapter). I finally finished this sweeping epic fantasy novel. It was a bit of a log for me. I would have enjoyed it more if we followed more than one story line. I am not sure that i will continue with the series.
