This is only my second Judy Blume book but I'm starting to get an idea of her style. I appreciate the unflinching voices of her narrators and the unapologetic ways she deals with mature issues. I actually liked Katherine a lot and my only issue with her portrayal is that she sounded a lot younger to me than she was supposed to be (17 and 18) but I guess that could also be a difference in how teens communicate (or are imagined to communicate) when the book was written compared to today.
