What Members Thought

I picked up this book because I read that the author lives and writes in my hometown. Calling Me Home is sort of a hybrid: part love story, part historical fiction, part story of the bonds of female friendship. Exquisitely written and crafted story about life relationships, choices, and social consequences both today and southern USA in the late thirties. I loved the characters in this story and the tears are still flowing after finishing it. Why had I not heard of this book until now? I am so glad I read this for
