A friend was going home for the summer and shoved the trilogy in my hands so she didn't have to find a place to store them. Great! I love free stupid books! I could skim and skip pages due to predictability, but all I was looking for was fun summer trash and I got it. And I was enjoying myself plenty until my partner pointed out that:

A.) it was a Harry Potter fanfic. Not holding this fact against it, but as soon as it was pointed out I could not unsee.

Absolutely wonderful book! A fantasy world that is still close enough to our own world to be very easily imagined, and where I felt very comfortable. Twists I didn't expect, and some I was hoping for ... all made a very pleasant read. I thought this was the conclusion of the series, but was very excited to learn recently that a 4th book will be out in the spring! ...more
