I loved this. There's a lot going on ... three different storylines, in three different times, across two different countries. But I loved each storyline, and am glad that the author took the chance on using multiple POVs in storylines that jump back and forth. When done wrong, it can be a mess; but it worked in this book, and it really added to the feeling of being told a fairy tale in the old way. ...more

Oh this book..
This is one of the most stunningly beautiful and magical story I have ever read.
When I found out this was a story about the origins of Rapunzel, I knew wanted to read this book and give it a try.
This book completely surpassed my expectations. Bitter Greens captures you and tangles you into this beautifully woven story. I fell in love with the story and the characters.
If you love fantasy or retelling or you just love a wonderfully written story pick this book up and enjoy. ^^
