If you are looking for a page turner and a good story - this is it. Liane Moriarty has a gift for grabbing the reader and taking you on a great ride. That said, there was no need for this book to be 450+ pages long. A number of the characters/story lines were completely superfluous. The obvious example is the character at the start of the book - why is Patty Ponder in the book? I also found so many things not flushed out properly. Here I point to the Abigail story line. I haven't read a 5-star book in a while. Then my mother-in-law recommended this one, and I really enjoyed it. I loved the writing style, the humor mixed in among the drama, and the way it kept you wondering about most of the facts of the case right to the conclusion. ...more
