Loved it !
I thought this was going to be a funny book about a cranky owner of an independent bookstore. It ended up being a sweet, sometimes sad, often funny story about the life of a cranky owner of an independent bookstore. I read it in one afternoon, and I think it will appeal to people who like books about books as long as you buy into the somewhat fairy tale storyline.

I read this book a year ago, and I liked it. I read it a week ago and I loved it. Books say different things to different people at different moments in time.
Favorite quote when the little girl reasons that she would rather be a ring bearer in her dad's wedding than a flower girl:
“If you lose a flower, you get another flower," Maya reasons. "If you lose the ring, everyone is sad forever. The ring bearer has much more power.”

“Who’s Gollum?” Maya wants to know. “Someone very nerdy that your father likes,” Amelia says.

Love for the book about book love. Sweet fast read.
I liked this story of loves lost and found and being discovered. It has a sentimental, predictable vibe - in a good way.
Re-read as an audiobook! Had some qualms with the reader at first but he grew on me. He read the emotional parts well.
