What Members Thought
It's difficult to rate a book when you're not the target demographic. I'm not a preteen during the late 19th century, so a lot of what probably makes this book enjoyable just wasn't there for me.
It's not terrible, and it's very easy reading for a classic. But it's very preachy, it's pretty boring, I didn't think any of the characters were that interesting (including Jo), and in the end I was forcing myself to read it. ...more
