This very short book is delightful, an excerpt from a bunch of persons that become familiar in a blink of an eye and it is full of emotions, especially because it is about true letters exchanged for years between the author and the people from the little bookshop in England.

This was a delight. I adored Helene’s sense of humor when writing to Marks and Co. I’m sure they did not know what to make of her at first but found a treasured friendship for more than 20 years. If you like British History, this one is for you.

A delightful short read especially if you love and appreciate books and bookstores. This book is a true story written in epistolary form (letters back and forth). I thought it was heartwarming.

Delightful quick and easy read ... all about books, which are also my best friends!

Welll, that was an incredibly charming little book. It was such a love story to the physical book. Nothing much happened and but I found myself completely eager to get to the next letter. I read the whole thing in a sitting and feel sad to have no more time to spend with these lovely book lovers. I don't think you can ask for much more than that from a book. ...more
