Delightful. Very quick read, but such a fine story of human friendship.
This was a delight. I adored Helene’s sense of humor when writing to Marks and Co. I’m sure they did not know what to make of her at first but found a treasured friendship for more than 20 years. If you like British History, this one is for you.
This delightful collection of letters is simply fun. The relationship that develops between the author, Helene Hanff, and the bookshop in London is sweet and tender, and recalls a bygone era where things were simpler. A must read for any fan of reading!
Charming and an interesting peek into past war England. Like most books based on letters I get tired of the form.
The loveliest most wonderful most witty/hilarious/entertaining and perfect little book there is.
Gah, this one sneaks right up on you with so many feelings.
Very short book about a correspondence about books. Lovely.
