I love this book. It has one of my favorite first sentences, which I quote often.

I couldn't finish this book, so it might seem silly to give it three stars. However, I promise I really was enjoying it for the 115 or so pages that I read. Really!
This book is filled with magical happenings that are very fun to imagine and there's a family tree at the beginning, which I love. However, the book bounces rapidly from one story to the next, there are many characters with the same name, time moves rapidly then slowly, and the thread holding it all together can be quite thin.
