Title: We Should All Be Feminists
Author: Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
Genre: Nonfiction, revised TED talk, short works
Setting: Mostly Nigeria
Reason for Reading: I wanted to dip my toe into Adichie's work before committing to a longer piece by her. Well, the joke's on me, because this didn't feel like enough, at all! It was a great essay but I wanted a whole book by her.
Relevance to the Project: This is book #23 for my project! I enjoyed the picture of life in Nigeria that this book includes.

My only wish is that this book was longer. I wanted more of this talk. More about how we can take action. More about how I can raise the three young boys I have been blessed to raise to be unashamedly feminist. This world needs more of the words that Adichie has to share.

Amazing essay. This should be required reading for the world.

"A one-sitting book." I feel a little guilty even counting this as a book because it is so short, but it counts as a book because it is published as such. The concepts are not new, but they are valuable and I am in complete agreement with the sentiments expressed. It's time to reclaim the word "feminist" and stop being afraid of it. ...more
