Celeste Ng knows how to pull on heartstrings, and she does it so subtly that I don't notice until it's too late. Ouch, my heart.
I love how all the main characters have backgrounds that explains how they feel and why they do what they do. I think my favorite character here is Hannah, the poor youngest child who's usually forgotten. My heart goes out most to Marilyn, the wo ...more
