What Members Thought
Despite it's slim size, this novel packed a wallop of a story. A highly dysfunctional interracial family of five, with each member carrying his or her own hefty emotional weight, their tale begins in the 1960's and ends in 1977 (one of my favorite years). In this final pivotal year, a very tragic event rips them apart but later, brings them together again.

I really enjoyed this; intriguing story line and very believable characters.
This would be an excellent book club pick- the family dynamics are so complicated & would make a great discussion, analyzing each one!!!
