While the KonMari method certainly seems daunting, I definitely believe it does have life-changing properties.
I believe that all objects in the universe carry with them both good and bad energies and I believe in personification, so Marie's recommendations in greeting one's home, thanking inanimate objects for their daily helpfulness and usefulness, etc., make perfect sense.

I'm really conflicted about this book. My expectations were high, and I wanted to love it and find it extremely useful. I wanted to.
I do feel this book has *some* decent advice, most of which could be summed up in about one chapter of approximately 10 pages. The rest of the book is primarily filler and repetition when I wanted more practical examples, exercises, checklists, etc.

Good concepts; the stories helped to enforce the message.
This book has a lot of interesting concepts to the art of obtaining and maintaining a clutter free home but I don't know if I agree with all the ideas. Have to do what works for your lifestyle :)
