A difficult book to read because of cruelty of the times, this is an enjoyable, and sometimes even humorous treatise on society, written, of course, for an earlier century in England, but could surely apply to our century in America.
Global pandemic is easy compared to smart 20 year old girl getting married off to father's 50 year old friend.
